Consulted on the contracts, overall design and took a leadership role for the implementation of the project.
Designed and implement a 10MBit Hub/Spoke, private Wide Area Network (WAN). Hub is a DataCentre with a 1MBit burstable to 10MBit internet connection. Remote clinics(Spokes), are connect to the datacentre with dual 10MBit load balanced private circuits. Dual WAN VPN Appliances (WAN1 for Internet, WAN2 for Private Network) at each spoke clinic secure all communications using VPN Peer to Peer tunneling.
Primary RIS and PACS servers and a Network Accessible Storage (NAS) device are at the datacentre. Proxy or Caching PACS an RIS server located at each clinic providing 99% uptime.
Radiologists, typists, clinicians and support personnel from all vendors have secure remote access using an SSL VPN based web interface, maximizing productivity and reducing IT costs with minimal onsite support calls.

Researched and implemented Motion Tablets (Slates or Pen based computers) for physicians to see patients in the comunity with emergency and on-call access to real time data using a Bluetooth connection to cellular phone and a secure VPN connection over EVDO network.
